If you experience any technical difficulties with your phone or SIM card and you do not contact Cellular Abroad for technical support by phone or by email during your trip, we cannot offer any refund or compensation.

Dialing information
Your phone needs to be an unlocked dual-band, tri-band or quad-band GSM phone capable of functioning on the 900/1800 MHz GSM band in order to accept the SIM card.

Your Israel Cell to US: 018 – 1 – area code – phone number.                                                    
US to Your Israel Cell: 011 – 972 – 9-digit number (drop the first 0).                                    
Your Israel Cell Number to Israel: city code - phone number.                                                      
Israel to Your Israel Cell Number: city code - phone number.

Important: Toll free 800 numbers based in the US can not always be called from overseas cell phones.

Please Note: There is no support for service when roaming outside of Israel.

Rental Setup

  • Make sure your phone is charged and the menu settings are set to English.

For SIM Purchases Only                                                                                                   
Snap out the SIM chip from the SIM card and insert the chip into your GSM Phone with the metal portion facing down as to make contact with the contact prongs.

  • Make sure the phone is charged and the menu settings are in English.

Changing language to English
For changing the voice menus into English, call customer service at *123 <send>

Voicemail
To activate voicemail:

  • Call customer service at *778 <send> (this is a free call) and ask for your voicemail to be turned on and the voice menus to be switched to English.
  • To check your voicemail dial *80
  • Default PIN is 1234#

Checking Your Credit
You can check your account balance anytime, all you have to do is:

  • Dial *777, (this is a free call) from your mobile phone anytime.
  • Select option 4 for English.
  • Then select option 2 to check your account balance.

Purchasing More Talk Time
You can easily purchase 55 NIS recharge codes from Cellular Abroad (24/7 English speaking reps) before as well as during your trip.

  • Recharge MasterTalk ™ cards may also be purchased in denominations of 50, 75, 100 and 200 NIS at cellular stores, convenience stores and most post offices.

Adding Talk Time
To add talk time, follow these instructions (Talk time can only be added while in Israel):

  1. From your phone dial *777 (24/7).
  2. Press 4 for English.
  3. Press 1 to “Add Airtime”. You will be prompted to enter the serial number located under the barcode on the left. (10 digits)
  4. Lastly, scratch off security coating (bottom right corner) and enter the revealed code then press #.

Troubleshooting
If you are unable to make or receive calls switch networks on your phone.  Consult your phone’s manual.  The steps will be like these:

  • Menu > Settings/Setup > Network > Available Network/Change Network > Search
  • Select a different network carrier than the one currently shown.

If you are receiving no reception bars, emergency calls only, SOS, or no service
check your phones band setting:  Consult your phone’s manual. The steps will be like these:

  • Menu > Settings/Setup > Network > Network Setup >Band
  • Make sure you select 900/1800

For problems with the cellular network or service:

  • Contact customer service in Israel by dialing *123 from your handset. This is a free call. You can also reach them from the US by dialing +9720529990123.

Service Life
You must use your SIM at least once every 12 months to retain your service.  Call credits are valid for 12 months once they are active on your account.

To inquire about the possibility of extending your SIM card’s service life while outside the SIM card’s country of origin, contact the telecom provider's customer service, Cellular Abroad does not provide support for this feature.
