Activating Your Service:
Your SIM is activated on the day it ships out from Cellular Abroad. Your phone service is valid for 12 months from the day of activation. Each use or recharge will extend your service life for an additional 12 months from the date of the recharge.

Your Phone Number:
You will have a United Kingdom-based phone number, regardless of where you are traveling. Your phone number will be clearly marked in your Talk Abroad™'s packaging.

Checking your Call Credit:
You may check your credit at any time by dialing a 3 digit shortcut on your handset.

Making and Receiving Calls:
When you make a call, charges begin only when the other party answers the call or if it goes to voicemail. Outgoing and incoming call charges are based on 60-second intervals.

Adding Talk Time to Your SIM Card:
You can add talk time at any time - together with your purchase as well as prior to and during your trip. Simply call Cellular Abroad 24/7 on our toll free number and we will immediately add talk time for you using your account information already on file or an alternative credit card. Additional call credit is $29 for 32 minutes of talk time (for most popular destinations). Each time you add call credit or “recharge” your account, you will extend your service life for an additional 12 months from the date of the recharge. Previous call credit will accumulate to your new call credit.

Rates:
Since the Talk Abroad is an international roaming card, ALL base rates are flat rates inclusive of roaming charges. All value-added service (VAS) calls including recharge requests, balance inquiries, and calls to the voicemail system are billed per minute since the length of these calls will all vary. Call surcharges (see below) are also billed per minute in addition to the base outgoing per-minute rate, NOT per connection.

Voice mail:
Your voice mail is already activated. You can access your voice mail system from your handset or from a land line. (It's the cost of a call to Liechtenstein.) From your handset, you dial a 3 digit number and follow the prompts to listen to messages. You can also personalize your greeting by following the prompts in the voice mail options. Calls to your voice mail are billed as normal calls. You will receive a text message alerting you of any new voicemails. PLEASE NOTE: Voice mail will only pick up under the following circumstances: When the phone is on but not answered, when the line is busy (phone is in use) or when all calls are diverted to voice mail.

SMS:
You can send and receive SMS text messages from your Talk Abroad™ international cell phone. However, we cannot be responsible nor guarantee that you will always be able to send and receive SMS messages in all circumstances and in all countries. The initial Talk Abroad™ account gives you up to 48 SMS messages and each additional $29 call credit gives you up to 48 additional outgoing messages ($0.60 per message).

Service Life:
From the time you activate the service (make your first call), the service life of the phone is 12 months. However, if you recharge your phone, your service life will be extended another 12 months. If you do not add call credit within 12 months, you will lose your credit and must contact Cellular Abroad to reactivate your account.

Recharging your SIM card allows you to keep your phone number for as long as the time period is valid. When ordering separately, please remember to supply your Talk Abroad™ SIM card phone number!
